Dublin Heritage Building Show attended by Minister Noonan

The Dublin Heritage Building Show, an initiative of the Irish Georgian Society to promote traditional building skills and craft took place in Merrion Square Park today. It was an honour to launch it with the Lord Mayor of Dublin and visit the trade stands.

We met incredibly dedicated craftspeople and apprentices doing vital conservation work on traditional and historic buildings. Our grant schemes are vital in supporting this work.

It's vitally important that every local authority has an in house architectural conservation team to bring heritage buildings back into use. Well done to IGS and partners on such a valuable event.
