Carlow County Council invites applications for the post of Heritage Officer.

I'm delighted to see one of our last counties without a heritage officer now filling the post.

This will be an immense asset to Carlow - a county steeped in built, cultural, and natural heritage.

I'm asking local authorities to now consider adding assistant heritage officers, conservation and repurposing officers, biodiversity officers, and town architects to their staffing complement to meet the challenges and opportunities ahead.
